A Message from Our Co-Founders

To our dear friends and supporters of Hope Hollow,

Autumn is in the air, and our thoughts turn to the cozy comforts of the fall season… the sun shining on golden leaves over the weathervane at Hope Hollow, a steaming cup of coffee on a cool morning, the warmth of enduring friendships that sustain us and the mission of Hope Hollow.

We’ve come a long way since the early days of our organization, when our only vision was to shelter cancer patients in need under our own roof. But this need proved too great, and our vision evolved into today’s Hope Hollow… providing lodging, meals, transportation assistance, and emotional support… at no cost… to cancer patients and their loved ones while they receive cancer treatment in Columbus, Ohio.

We wish to express our immense gratitude to each and every one of you. We cherish our relationships with all of you who have helped our vision grow, and to all of you who have found refuge through Hope Hollow. With this new quarterly communication, we’ll continue to share our gratitude, alongside stories of those whose lives have been touched by your generosity. We’ll also update you on the growth of our organization and our continuous efforts to meet the ever-increasing needs of persons whose lives are affected by cancer.

We thank you for helping Hope Hollow shine a light of hope on the cancer journey of so many.

With love and gratitude,

Jane and Kevin Clark

A Message from Our Co-Founders

To our dear friends and supporters of Hope Hollow,

During this festive season, in the midst of the bright lights and the generosity that sparkles all around us, it is easy to believe in miracles.

We are fortunate at Hope Hollow to witness miracles each and every day. We often say that Hope Hollow is a journey of miracles… and we know that the first and brightest of these miracles is you. Your faithful support of our mission is the gift that sustains us, and the gift a cancer patient will celebrate this holiday season.

For the patients and their loved ones whom we serve, miracles come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes it is gift cards to the BistrOH! Cafe at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital, so patients don’t have to brave the cold for an appetizing and nutritious meal. Or it might be gift cards for gasoline or providing a Lyft ride, so that patients know they have a way home after receiving medical treatment.

For a Columbus-area 80-year-old cancer patient and his family, grocery gift cards were a miracle that created lasting holiday memories of togetherness, despite the grief of a cancer diagnosis. This patient shared…

“Our youngest son who never asks for anything said that it would be nice to have one more traditional Thanksgiving. It simply was not in the budget. This saddened my wife. Imagine her/our surprise when grocery gift cards arrived on the day of my treatment. Because of Hope Hollow we were able to put together one more Thanksgiving. All three of our sons were there, two of our three grandchildren and one of our two great-grandchildren. It was wonderful! Thank you, Hope Hollow.”

We know of no better way to express our immense gratitude than to share these words of joy from a cancer patient and his family whose lives have been touched by your generosity. Thank you for walking on this journey of miracles with us, and for helping Hope Hollow to shine a light of hope on the cancer journey of so many.

With love and gratitude,
